Eyes are on what’s to come next in Fire Country, but will we find out tonight, Friday, May 26? Is there a new episode on CBS?
With the NCISes and the FBIs wrapping up their seasons this week, you’ll be forgiven for thinking that the Fire Country Season 1 finale should air tonight, Friday, May 26. The bad news is we’ve already had the finale. That aired last week, which means there isn’t a new episode on tonight.
We have a bit of a wait on our hands. After all, it’s not like CBS would premiere a new season this time of year, even if it could. We have to wait the summer out for a new episode of the series.
When will Fire Country Season 2 premiere on CBS?
As of right now, CBS is planning on having a normal fall schedule. It announced that Fire Country Season 2 would premiere in the fall, airing on Fridays at 9 p.m. ET/PT as it has done this first season. ABC is the only network to plan for a full season of unscripted programming to counter the strike action right now.
There’s no guarantee that we’ll have new episodes of Fire Country in the fall. The writers are on strike, and this strike is set to be a long one. Back when the writers last went on strike, the streaming platforms didn’t have a say in what they wanted to offer the writers. Well, this time, the streamers need to agree with the broadcast networks, and nobody is willing to agree right now.
We could see a lot of scripted shows pushed to the midseason. This includes the firefighter drama. All eyes are on when it could premiere, as soon as we get more of an idea, we’ll let you know.
Fire Country is available to stream on Paramount+.
