HOMEOWNERS say “see you later” as a giant alligator calmly makes his way through a busy residential estate.
The 10ft knobbly monster stopped traffic as he crossed the street — before laying down on someone’s front lawn.
Several passers-by were brave enough to grab a quick snap or film the whopper among houses on the Forest Glen Golf & Country Club estate in Naples, Florida.
The randy reptile is thought to have emerged from a nearby lake on the hunt for a partner.
Alligators are often seen in neighbourhoods this time of year as they prepare for mating season in early April.
The fearsome beast was later captured by the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission and moved to a safer habitat.
No one was hurt.
