Updated June 7, 2023 by Jacqueline Zalace: Stardew Valley is all about profitability, so we’ve updated this guide with a new creature that can be raised on your farm. Additionally, we’ve tweaked the formatting for readability purposes, allowing you to find what you are looking for quickly and efficiently.

1x Green Slime Egg |
The Slime Hutch is a farm building that allows you to incubate and raise Slimes. While this isn’t a classic farm animal, you will still be able to raise them on your farm. In terms of daily production, Slimes fail to produce.
Although the Tiger Slime Egg sells for a whopping 8,000g, this will probably not be a weekly occurrence. Overall, the Slime Hutch is great for raising Slimes to slay for their slime, which can then be processed and turned into an egg. With this egg, you can either incubate it to make a new Slime, or sell it for some gold.

1x Dinosaur Mayonnaise |
This cute little fossil of nature can be found by hatching a Dinosaur egg you might find in Skull Cavern or by hitting Artifact Spots. The Egg will take 12 and a half days to hatch after incubation, and then you’ll have a small Dino that lays its own Eggs every seven days.
These eggs can be turned into Dinosaur Mayonnaise, which apparently smells “like grass and leather.” Too bad it’s inedible, but it does pull some decent cash.

Ducks are both adorable and versatile in the products they can give you: they lay Duck Eggs every other day and can drop Duck Feathers instead of Eggs. The Feathers are worth more than the Eggs or Mayonnaise but are unreliable as a constant source of income.
Because of this, our total is based on if you receive Duck Eggs in a week. If you do happen to get a feather, then your total gold will increase!

7x Void Mayonnaise |
You can obtain a Void Chicken by obtaining a Void Egg (likely from Krobus’ shop) or from having the Witch curse one of their regular chickens at night in a random event. Void Mayonnaise is worth some okay money but is also useful for a certain quest involving the Witch.
In general though, the Void Egg is not as profitable as the normal Egg, so there is no benefit to having a coop filled with Void Chickens unless you like their black and red appearance.

2x Iridium Quality Rabbit’s Feet |
Rabbits are interesting because they drop the Rabbit’s Foot, which is rather valuable and becomes more common with a higher friendship level. Rabbits also drop Wool, which can be turned into Cloth – great for both selling and for making clothes.
If you have just adopted your Rabbit, then you won’t see these profits, as they only produce Wool at this point. With some love and care though, you can quickly obtain those precious Rabbit’s Feet.

7x Gold Quality Mayonnaise |
Chickens are most likely the first animal you’ll start off with, and they have great potential to make money if you have a Mayonnaise Machine. Because Chickens make Eggs every day (unless they aren’t fed), they are reliable for early game and useful for making a lot of different recipes as well.

4x Iridium Quality Goat Cheese |
Goats are basically neck and neck with Cows in terms of profit, but they make slightly less in a week because they produce Milk every other day, unlike Cows who make Milk every day. Goat Cheese can pull in quite a profit, especially with the Artisan Profession.
If you are just looking at price per item though, Goat products sell for more than Cow products.

Cows are both reliable and extremely handy for consistent income and making recipes in-game. They can be unlocked very early, only requiring owning a Barn to be purchasable at Marnie’s Ranch.
Both Milk and Cheese make up several different recipes that are frequently used for their Buffs, such as the Speed Buff that comes with eating Pepper Poppers.

10x Iridium Quality Mayonnaise |
As an animal introduced in Update 1.5 (along with the Golden Chicken), you can unlock Ostriches by getting the Ostrich Incubator recipe from Professor Snail, but you’ll have to find all the fossils on Ginger Island first.
An Ostrich will lay an Egg every seven days, and each Egg can be turned into ten Mayonnaise jars, which makes sense since they’re quite large.

7x Iridium Quality Wool |
Sheep are a great investment, and not just because of their adorable fluffiness. Having a Deluxe Barn means being able to purchase Sheep from Marnie and create a great source of income in the form of regular Wool (much more regular and reliable than Rabbits). They produce Wool every third day, meaning a profit of 816g maximum every three days per Sheep.
There are ways to increase this growing time substantially. Having 4.5 or more Hearts with a Sheep decreases how long it takes to grow its coat by one day. Additionally, having the Shepherd Profession will shorten this growing period by one more day, making a coat of wool every day.

7x Iridium Quality Golden Eggs |
This fantastic animal is a reward for achieving 100 percent Perfection. After accomplishing this massive feat, you can either purchase a Golden Egg from Marnie’s Ranch for 100,000g, from Qi’s Walnut Room for 100 Qi Gems, or from a random event in which a golden witch flies over your Coop and leaves a Golden Egg.
Each Egg is worth significantly more than a regular egg and makes three Gold Mayonnaise every time it’s put into a Mayonnaise Machine, no matter the Egg’s quality.

21x Truffle Oils |
Surprising perhaps no one, the value of Truffles is undeniable in Stardew Valley, especially since one Pig can find several in one day. This can result in multiple bottles of Truffle Oil each day, as long as your Pigs have enough space to search for them on your Farm.
Having the Artisan profession will greatly improve your monetary gains as well, making almost 1,500g for one bottle. If one Pig found three Truffles per day, that would lead to 21 Truffle Oils, a profit of 31,311g with Artisan. Think about the earnings possible with multiple Pigs!
