Discussion on police body cameras, equity audit in Worcester pushed to next City Council meeting

Though it was on Worcester City Council’s agenda to discuss where a racial equity audit of the Worcester Police Department and the adoption of the police body camera program stands Tuesday night, the items were tabled.

Councilor At-Large and chair of the council’s Committee on Public Safety Kathleen Toomey tabled the times under privilege, meaning they will be held until the next city council meeting.

Following the meeting Toomey told MassLive she wasn’t planning on holding the items, but members of the public reached out asking her to do so.
